Ingredients: · 3/4 cup of good olive oil · 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice · 1 Tablespoon Liquid Amino Acids or soy sauce · 1 teaspoon Spike or favorite herbal spice combination · 2 Tablespoons liquid lecithin (optional for thickening)
Directions: 1. In a clean salad dressing bottle or container, add the ingredients. 2. Shake well and enjoy over salad with toasted pecans or almonds as "croutons."!
Carrot Apple Salad Recipe
Ingredients: · 2 cups firmly-packed shredded apple · 2 cups shredded, firmly-packed carrots · 1/2 cup raisins (optional) · 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt · 1/4 cup freshly-squeezed lemon juice · 1 Tablespoon non-fat sour cream · 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract · 1 Tablespoon honey
In a large mixing bowl, toss the shredded apples, carrots and raisins (if using) together. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, sour cream, vanilla and honey. Pour the dressing over the carrot apple salad and toss well. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
Dairy-Free Soft Cheese
This cheese is so delicious no one will know it’s a healthy, dairy-free option. This recipe offers all the benefits of yogurt and helps to balance your bowel flora. While it requires time for fermentation, it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes of preparation time.
Ingredients: · 2 cups of raw, unsalted cashews, soaked overnight or 10 to 12 hours · 1 teaspoon probiotics powder...or 2 capsules of probiotics opened and dissolved in 1 1 cup of pure water · 1 teaspoon of Celtic sea salt or Himalayan salt (or more to taste) · 1 to 2 teaspoons of onion powder · 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
In a blender or food processor, blend the soaked cashews with the probiotic powder and water mixture. Place in a glass bowl, covered with a clean cloth, and let rest for 10 to 14 hours to ferment. Then stir in the salt, onion powder, and nutmeg until well mixed. Form the cheese into a ball or press in a springform pan and serve with crackers, pita bread, or vegetable crudites.
Options: You can add a teaspoon or two of herbs like herbes du Provence to flavor the cheese once it has fermented or to coat the outside of a cheeseball. You can serve the cheese coated with ground or chopped nuts like hazelnuts or drizzled with a balsamic vinegar reduction.
Lemon Poppy Seed CakeThis is so Lemony, and the frosting is so creamy!
Cake - Use a food processor or blender to grind the ingredients as directed. · 1 1/2 cups ground / grated jicama · 1 Granny Smith apple peeled & ground · 2 cups almonds soaked / dehydrated & ground fine · 4 Tablespoon golden flax, ground fine · 1/4 cup agave · 1 teaspoon vanilla · lemon juice and zest of 1 lemon · 1/2 cup poppy seeds
Mix all ingredients and form in the shape of your choice. If making a double layer cake, top the first layer with frosting...Then top the 2nd layer / round. Flip out the assembled cake and place on a plate and frost the whole cake (top & sides)
Frosting: Has all the flavor of commercial processed frostings with no artificial ingredients.
